MATT Taylor admits the club will be keeping a close eye on Chris Hussey as he nears a return to first team action.
The on-loan Sheffield United defender has been sidelined since the televised win at Forest Green Rovers in September, but made a return to the matchday squad against Cheltenham on Saturday.
Taylor is hoping to ease the loanee back into action this week as preparations continue for the trip to Cambridge on Saturday.
“Chris hasn’t had too many days' training and should he have been a little bit closer to fitness, then we would have to have made a decision as to whether he started the game against Cheltenham," he said.
“We are hoping to include him in a development game this week and see how he gets on there. He has missed an awful lot of football and we can’t rush these things. It’s important to monitor him and go careful, but it’s great to have him back involved."
