Banks Returns To Oldham

Midfielder's Loan Spell Has Come To An End

3 May 2018

Swindon Town Football Club can confirm that Ollie Banks has returned to Oldham Athletic following the end of his loan spell.

The midfielder arrived at SN1 until the end of the season in January and impressed during his time in Wiltshire, scoring three goals in seventeen outings.

However, with Town Boss Phil Brown planning to hand a debut to an unnamed Academy Scholar against Accrington Stanley on Saturday, Banks has been allowed to return north.

"Ollie Banks won't be back on Saturday - I've let him go back to Oldham, to his parent club," Brown said at his pre-match press conference earlier.

"I've sat down with him yesterday and confirmed that he wasn't needed for the game so he could go back.

"He opened up and said that the players in the dressing room had let me as a manager down."

We would like to thank Ollie for his efforts during his time with us and we wish him well for the future.
