Jordan Edwards is still riding a wave of emotion following what was a whirlwind and fairytale ending to the 2017/18 campaign.
Days after being handed his professional debut on the final day of the season, the midfielder was handed a professional deal for 2018/19.
"I still can't get my head around the fact that it actually happened," he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
"It is settling in now and it is unfortunate that the season has ended so I've got a bit of a wait until I can get back out there again.
"I'm just going to work hard over the summer and try and showcase myself to the gaffer.
"To be handed a professional is unreal and it is a special feeling.
"It is what dreams are made of.
"I'm only at the start and there is a long way to go but I'm looking forward to the ride.
"I can't wait for my holidays, it is nice to get away and spend time with the family but I'm buzzing to get back and be a full-time professional.
"I'm looking forward to what that brings.
"Hopefully next season will be a great year for all of us and we get the promotion we want."
