Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust is now recruiting for their next 'Football Fans in Training' course.
In September 2018, the Trust will welcome the eighth cohort of their Football Fans in Training programme and they’re looking for men to join the hugely successful 12-week course that is proven to help men lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.
The course is open to all men aged 35 to 65, with a waist measurement of 38” and above.
Their most recent cohort lost a remarkable collective weight of 31 stone!
Public Health Swindon and Swindon Borough Council have been instrumental in supporting STFITC with the Football Fans in Training initiative, which has helped over 200 local football fans become healthier and lose weight, with a combined weight loss of over 250 stone.
Many of their participants are now taking part in regular weekly activities to maintain their healthier lifestyles. They’ve had participants take part in the London Marathon, the RunVEMBER challenge, walking groups and six-a-side friendly fixtures.
A past participant said: “It really has been life changing. I have enjoyed every minute of the course and will really miss our Thursday get-togethers but I’m looking forward to continuing friendships with a great group of lads and spurring each other on to levels of fitness we’ve not seen for some years now!
"I’m so glad I did it.”
They’ll be running another 12-week course of Football Fans in Training from 20th September to 13th December and you too can change your life for the better.
