Ryan McGivern is looking to finish a frustrating season on a high note on Saturday afternoon when Accrington Stanley come to town.
Town welcome the new Sky Bet League Two Champions to The Energy Check County Ground this weekend in what is the final game of the 2017/18 season.
And, after missing out on the Play-Offs, McGivern is now hoping to sign-off a disappointing campaign with a victory.
"Unfortunately we've not managed to reach our goal that was set at the start of the season, but everyone wants to go out on a high," he said.
"We want to put a good performance in, get the three points and send the fans home happy.
"Accrington have won the league and rightly so - they deserve to go up.
"It is a long, hard season and they've finished at the top at the end of it - that doesn't happen by luck.
"They've worked hard for it and they deserve it.
"All the best to them for next season in League One.
"They've got hungry players and they all work hard. They've also got players with quality like Billy Kee, who has scored goals for fun."
