Steven Alzate, Matt Taylor and Elijah Adebayo were on target for Town as they ended Yeovil's run of six consecutive clean sheets.
Steven Alzate opened the scoring on 58 minutes, letting fly from 25 yards, with the ball skidding up off the surface and past Nathan Baxter, in the Yeovil goal.
With ten minutes to go, Matt Taylor beat Baxter in the very same corner - he whipped a low free-kick from similar distance to Alzate's opener, past Baxter sparking deliireum in the away end. Taylor slid towards the soaked away end in celebration.
Yeovil, who had been stifled by a high-intensity gameplan by Phil Brown's side, won a penalty when Jordan Green was pushed by Keshi Anderson. McCormick was making himself big before Olufela Olomola blazed his spot-kick over, via the top of the crossbar.
And to rub salt into the Glovers' wounds, Elijah Adebayo was in no mood for seeing the game out. The 6ft4in striker picked the ball up on the left-hand corner of the penalty area, cut inside onto his right foot and bent a brilliant effort into the far corner.
