WRIGHT: WE WANT TO ENTERTAIN

9 August 2019

Swindon Town first-team coach, Tommy Wright, wants this season to be an entertaining one for the fans with his former employers, Carlisle visiting the County Ground tomorrow for the first home league game of the season.

The Robins won impressively away at Scunthorpe United last weekend with two stellar examples of counter attacking football finished off by Jerry Yates and Keshi Anderson.

Wright feels it’s important for fans to be entertained:

“I think fans want to be entertained; they’ve paid hard earned money to watch and what you can do as a coach is to try and entertain them and of course win; like Swindon have done in the past which attracts bigger crowds.”

“We’ve got players who can affect the opposition in a one on one situation especially at full back positions. I think Keshi, Kaiyne and Lloyd coming in are players that can beat people one on one.”

When asked about his own football philosophy he simply replied: “Attack.”
