Here’s a summary of the week’s events and a look ahead to the next seven days:
Defeat against Crawley after positive run of results
Swindon suffered defeat at the hands of Crawley at the Energy Check County Ground on Saturday but have a second home game on the bounce to put that right.
Town face Forest Green Rovers this weekend at SN1 looking to rectify the 1-0 home loss on Saturday. Filipe Morais’ goal on the stroke of half-time proved the difference in the end.
Loan Watch - Romanski makes Romans debut
Joe Romanski made his debut for Bath City on Saturday after joining on-loan in the week.
He helped his new team-mates to a clean sheet against Gloucester City and his new manager, Jerry Gill, was full of praise for the young defender:
“I thought he was absolutely fine. Solid, sound – they tried to turn us down that side with the wind but he won the race each time, shepherded balls out.
“He was comfortable in possession, everything I knew he was going to be. He’ll grow into his game.”
Chris Robertson was sent off for Havant & Waterlooville in a goalless draw with Dover Athletic with Jordan Edwards making his first appearance for Marlow FC in a 6-0 win over Hanwell Town.
Taylor Curran joins from Southend United
Swindon managed to capture the signature of young defender Taylor Curran from Southend United.
The defender joined on a two-and-a-half and is seen as an exciting prospect.
He showed his personal delight when he spoke to the press the day after it was announced.
