Things To Do

7 January 2019

The Energy Check County Ground is packed full of fun for all ages, on a matchday.

Here are some of the activities for families to enjoy on gameday:

FanZone

New for the 2019/20 season, the 2019/20 FanZone is the best place to soak up and build the pre-match atmosphere. With live music, a variety of food options as well as five-a-side football, run by the STFC Foundation, the FanZone promises to be a welcome addition to matchdays at SN1.

Throughout the season, players not in the matchday squad will appear in the FanZone to welcome you to the ground and answer questions.

Junior Reds Room

Newly refurbished and open to all families, the Junior Reds Room is the nerve-centre of family fun - we have arts, crafts, games consoles, club history games for Mums, Dads, Grandparents to play with their kids and much, much more.

#STFCSelfie

Situated in the Don Rogers Nationwide Stand, you can take a selfie in front of our custom-made selfie boards – you can ‘Be the Man of the Match’ or take one inside one of our special Instagram frames.

Also, in the DRNS is Alan Mayse’s Maze – a challenge to get round but worth the effort! Make sure. once you’ve got your picture perfect or completed the maze, you send us your snaps to our Twitter account, hashtagging #STFCSelfie and tagging @Official_STFC!

Meet the Mascot/Players

On every matchday at the County Ground, our famous mascot, Rockin’ Robin will be around the ground saying hello, posing for pictures as well doing his pre-match ‘Hakka’ at 14:45.

As well as Rockin’ Robin roaming around in the Junior Reds room, stationed at the end of the Don Rogers Stand, players not included in the matchday squad will often appear to sign programmes and shirts, and pose for pictures.

Half-Time Entertainment

At half-time we run a challenge on the pitch where two home fans (and on selected matchdays, two away fans) take on Rockin’ Robin from the halfway line.

Keep an eye out on our social channels for news on how to participate.

Family-Friendly Kiosks

In both the Arkell’s and Don Rogers Stand, we have our ‘Kids’ Nests’ serving snack packs, fruit juices as well as face-painting in the DRS, and outside the ground (at selected games).

Tyre Challenge

On selected matchdays, outside the ground Football in the Community run the Tyre Penalty-Kick Challenge. Fans have the opportunity to practice their spot-kicks and test their nerve against some of our community coaches.

Social Media and Quizzes

For fun on the way to matchday, you can follow our social media channels full to the brim of information and things to do. You can also test your STFC knowledge with our Sporcle account ram-packed with Town trivia.
