Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of full-back Rob Hunt following the mutual termination of his contract at Oldham Athletic.
The move sees the former Brighton youngster join up with former-boss Richie Wellens as he signs on a two-year deal at the County Ground.
Hunt is a right-back naturally but is just as effective on the left and already has over 90 EFL appearances at just 23-years-old.
The versatile defender made his way through the Brighton academy and was in and around Chris Hughton’s promotion-winning said as a squad player; however, he only made one appearance during that season.
In January 2017, Hunt joined Oldham, originally on-loan before making the move permanent later that year. Since then, he has racked up 80 appearances under various managers at Boundary Park.
Upon joining, Hunt said:
“I’m buzzing to finally get it all sorted – it’s a great club with some great ambitions and hopefully we can fulfil those this season. The style of play is the kind that suits me.”
