Swindon Town are pleased to announce the return of our Junior Takeover Day on Saturday 2nd November 2019 as we host Walsall.
The match is free of charge for under-11s and on the day there will be lots of family-friendly fun for everyone including our Fanzone, Penalty Kick Challenge, live music, selfie boards and the opportunity to meet Rockin’ Robin and first-team players.
In partnership with STFC Community Foundation and on top of our 200 free season-tickets to the local community, we will be visiting a variety of local schools, disability groups and community projects handing out tickets to under-11s giving young supporters the opportunity to attend a match at the Town, potentially for the first time.
First-team players will also be doing appearances and attending PE sessions in the local community so keep an eye out for a visit to your school, giving young fans the opportunity to meet their heroes.
In addition, in the build up to this fixture we are putting on a junior fan week giving these local projects and schools an insight into Swindon Town and a look behind the scenes by putting on free stadium tours across selected days bringing young fans even closer to the club.
‘Be The ….. For The Day’ is a new addition to the Junior Takeover, with a select few junior red members being given the opportunity to get even closer to the club by spending the day as member of STFC staff including, Media and Press Officer, Kitman and even the Chief Executive. All you need to do is be a 19/20 Junior Red Member, if you haven’t yet signed up you can do so here.
Our Head of Ticketing, Danny Lee said: “We launched our junior takeover day last season and it was a real success. We saw a huge number of first-time fans visiting the County Ground and we want to build on this further this season.
“The work we are doing off the pitch is really starting to reap the rewards with increased numbers of young fans attending games and this has been recognised by the EFL as we received the Family Excellence Award for 2019 which we are all really proud of here. We look forward to welcoming as many you here on the 2nd November.”
A maximum of two child tickets can be redeemed with an adult ticket. Tickets can be purchased online or in store and right up until kick off.
