COVID-19 TICKET STATEMENT

7 August 2020

Swindon Town can confirm various options will be available to supporters who have season and match tickets for games not fulfilled following the curtailment of the Sky Bet League Two season.

Your support last season was a huge part of our promotion-earning form before the nation locked down, and your support over the next few months can help ensure the club’s future.

The relevant options for season-ticket holders and match-ticket holders are below:

Season Tickets - We have three options available;

- Generously donate any refund due back to the club

- ‘Bring a Friend’ - Play an influential role in building the Swindon Town fanbase of the future, whilst supporting the Club financially in the short-term

- Refund – Receive the four-game value of what you paid for your season ticket ahead of the 2019/20 season

The club will, as mentioned above, be providing an alternative option that will allow a season-ticket holder to help grow Swindon Town’s fanbase by introducing someone new to the football club. You will be entitled to bring a friend along to three League One home fixtures at the County Ground next season totally free of charge.

The Club has already received many messages from our incredible 2019/20 season ticket holders that they would be willing to waive their right to a refund. During these challenging times, we feel it is key to ensure our most faithful supporters feel valued and therefore would like to offer you an alternative as a gesture of goodwill.

This ticket initiative is an opportunity to not only help the club in the short term by waiving a refund, but use those three games to give a friend a taste of what the County Ground has to offer. With a new division to compete in and attractive football on display week-in-week-out, your friends would be foolish to turn you down.

To be fully transparent with our supporters, the three-game ‘Bring a Friend’ alternative, would be significantly better in relation to the Club’s financial management of the Covid-19 situation. Once again, we only ask those supporters who are able and willing to help the Club in this way – supporters should not feel pressured to do so.

We entirely understand that supporters will be facing financial hardship of their own and, as such, any alternative to a full refund is not a feasible option.

Match Tickets – there are three options available

· Refund – Receive your money back for the tickets you have purchased

· Match Credit – we can add the value of your tickets purchased to your club account to be redeemed against future home SkyBet League One games only

· Option to waive your right to a refund and help support the club through this period (please only do so if able to)

Similar to season ticket holders, supporters will be entitled to a refund on your match tickets. However, the Club will be also offering an alternative option to match ticket holders who, for any home or away tickets not used, the value of that can be added to your club ticket account to also redeem against future SkyBet League One home matches. For clarity all away ticket monies are with STFC and therefore refunded by STFC so donating any away ticket money will stay with the club. Please note any credit applied is not redeemable against merchandise and away tickets.

Supporters wishing to claim a refund on tickets can email queries@swindontownfc.co.uk with your client reference number and contact number.

For supporters wishing to add the value of their ticket to their account for future home league games then please email queries@swindontownfc.co.uk with your client reference number linked to the booking and the value of your purchase.

For season-ticket holders wishing to claim the Introduce a Friend Ticket just email queries@swindontownfc.co.uk with subject line Bring a Friend and include your client reference number. A note will be made on your account and you can claim the three tickets across the season via the club shop (must be done no later than 24 hours before kick-off) If you are donating any ticket monies you do not need to contact the club.

Please note all requests will be dealt with and processed once the relevant staff are back to work from furlough. All details of re-opening dates will be on the website and we will also confirm a cut-off date for ticket refunds / credits once we know when staff will return.

Swindon Town would like to place on record their thanks for your amazing and continued support across the season which has contributed to our promotion to League One. We hope that we can work with all supporters to help us get through this challenging time and we cannot wait to welcome you all back to the County Ground as soon as it is safe to do so.
