Swindon Town won on opening day yet again after beating Scunthorpe United 3-1 thanks to a sublime performance at Sands Venue Stadium.
It was the start of a new and exciting era for a new-look Reds team, and they did the whole club and the entire town proud with a gutsy and majestic display.
After a spirited first-half ended scoreless, the hosts did take the lead thanks to a Ryan Loft penalty, but that setback only served to galvanise Town.
It didn't take them long to hit back as Jack Payne restored parity from the spot, before a trademark Ben Gladwin strike and Harry McKirdy's debut goal wrapped up an outstanding first win of the 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet League Two season for the Robins.
It was just a fantastic effort from the entire team, and it was the perfect way to start both the new dawn at SN1 and the new campaign.
