Swindon Town Football Club is delighted to confirm the season-long loan signing of Kaine Kesler Hayden from Aston Villa, subject to EFL approval.
Kaine, 18, is a right-sided player and joins our squad following a whirlwind 2020-21 campaign.
After making his first-team debut against Liverpool in Aston Villa’s FA Cup Third Round game against the then Premier League champions, Kaine went on to captain the FA Youth Cup winning team which beat Liverpool 2-1 in the final.
The teenager recently agreed to a five-year deal with Aston Villa and joins Swindon Town to further develop his already impressive skillset.
Ben Chorley, Director of Football at Swindon Town, said: “We’re very pleased to have Kaine in our squad this year and look forward to working with him through the season.
“We’re extremely grateful to Adam Henshall and Mile Jedinak for their help in making this signing possible. They have been in constant contact with myself and Head Coach Ben Garner, whose relationship with Mile played a big factor in Kaine joining.
“Kaine coming into the building goes with the structure and model we are trying to develop here at Swindon Town Football Club. I’d like to wish Kaine every success in a Swindon shirt.”
