Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of young forward Jayden Mitchell-Lawson on a free transfer.

Having risen through Town's Academy, this is a homecoming for Mitchell-Lawson who adds further depth to Head Coach Ben Garner's squad, while he is also a very exciting talent for the future.

After being a standout for the Swindon Academy, Mitchell-Lawson was snapped up by Derby County, along with Jayden Bogle, and he went on to impress for the Rams' prestigious Academy setup.

He made his first-team debut for Derby under then Manager Frank Lampard in March 2019, and he also played against County's fierce rivals Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Mitchell-Lawson then spent a couple of loan spells with Bristol Rovers, where he worked and flourished under Town Head Coach Ben Garner.

Scoring a stunning goal against Wycombe Wanderers, the 21-year-old really showcased his ability during his time at the Memorial Stadium, and he's the type of player that can get fans out of their seats with a single breathtaking piece of play.

Now reunited with Garner again, Mitchell-Lawson will be looking to further develop his craft during his time at The County Ground, and he adds a different dynamic to the forward areas with his pace and eye for goal.

Speaking on the arrival of Mitchell, Town's Director of Football Ben Chorley said: "Jayden has been working with us for a couple of weeks now.

"Improving his fitness, his strength and getting over the injury that he had. He's shown excellent application and has responded very well to the training regime.

"Ben Garner has worked with Jayden before so knows his character, and we feel he brings a different dynamic to the squad. He is a player that came through our youth setup and we're pleased to welcome him home.

"He is 21-years-old with great potential and knows what this club means to the community, the fans and to the staff that are now in place."

Swindon Town are thrilled to welcome Jayden Mitchell-Lawson back home to The County Ground, and we wish him every success during his time with us.
