Important info for fans attending games at SN1

Swindon Town Football Club would like some help from supporters as we are required to fully implement the Government’s Plan B Protocols for our upcoming games.

Government’s Plan B Protocols 

Swindon Town Football Club will not be allowed to grant admission to anyone (aged 18 or over) who is unable to comply with the following legal requirements which can be gained providing one of the following:

A Proof of vaccination 

 

  • Show a Covid Pass on the NHS App to show they have received both doses of vaccine vaccinated at least 14 days before the match. For ease of access the Covid Pass should be downloaded into your mobile phones wallet. 

 

  • Supporters without a smartphone can request a Covid Pass letter from the NHS. Click here for more details.

 

(We recommend that you also bring a paper copies of the Covid Pass and NHS emails or texts with you in case of phone or network failure.)

OR

b. Lateral Flow Tests

 

  • The results of lateral flow tests taken no earlier than 48hours before kick off should be registered on the NHS App. Click here for more information on how to record the result of your lateral flow test.

 

  • The NHS will send either an email or text indicating the results of the test which should be shown at the point of entry to the stadium.

 

  • The physical test itself will not be acceptable as proof.

c. Medical exemptions

 

  • Provide evidence of an official medical exemption on the NHS Pass.

Face coverings

From 29th December, fans over the age of 11 years are required to wear face coverings in indoor settings when moving around internal areas of the stadium, including hospitality areas, concourses and welfare facilities. The only exceptions will be when you are eating or drinking, or in your seats or unless medically exempt.

Other Matchdays arrangements:

Turnstile opening times 

From the Stevenage match on 29th December and until further notice, turnstiles will open two hours before kick-off i.e. 13:00hrs for a 15:00hrs kick off and 17:45 for a 19:45 kick off to allow extra time for checks to be carried out.

Please arrive early and if at all possible avoid bringing bags that will need to be searched and further slow access to the stadium.

Test matches

We are asking all fans attending the Stevenage match on 29th December and Northampton match on 1st January 2022 to  provide evidence of their current status at the turnstiles as set out above. 

Lateral flow tests should not be taken before 19:45 on Monday 27th December for the Stevenage match and 15:00 on Thursday 30th December for the Northampton match.

Supporters can further assist us with these measures by reading any instructions carefully, both on the club website and via direct emails.

Other important information 

Over the next few days, we will be communicating where the Covid certification checkpoints will be situated, as well as providing guidance and advice on how to download and store your vaccination status or proof of a negative lateral flow test.

We would ask everyone attending games to be patient with our matchday staff while these checks are undertaken and would like to thank you in advance for your continued support and understanding.
