STFC Christmas Hospital Visit

Town spread some festive cheer

17 December 2021

Swindon Town Football Club visited the Great Western Hospital on Thursday to drop off presents to the Children's Ward.

In what is always a hugely important and special date for the Football Club, Owner Clem Morfuni and Director of Football Ben Chorley dropped off sackfuls of presents to help spread some festive cheer to children and their families and put smiles on their faces.

Also in attendance was Christine Kyle from the Official Swindon Town Supporters Club, who played a huge role in making this day happen, and the Brighter Futures Team.

Ben Chorley, Swindon Town's Director of Football, said: "It's a pleasure for myself and Clem to come here today and give sacks of presents for the children.

"Christmas is a time where every child should be happy and excited. It is all about making them feel better and putting a smile on their face.

"It is a small token of appreciation from Swindon Town. We would also like to thank the staff here at the Great Western Hospital for their wonderful care and hard work.

"We would have loved to have given the presents to the children personally and had some time to chat with them, but we understand it is a very busy time of year."

Swindon Town would also like to thank the STFC Community Foundation and the Swindon Town Official Supporters Club for their huge help in purchasing and wrapping all the presents for the children.
