JAMES MUNRO GRAVESTONE RESTORATION PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP!

19 March 2021

Swindon Town fan, James Turner, is leading a project to restore the gravestone of former STFC captain James Munro and he needs your help.

Munro became Town's first paid captain when the Club turned professional back in the 1890's.

He played 73 games for Swindon, scoring 13 goals, and won Southern League representative honours.

The Official Supporters Club have been working alongside James and the STFC Trust to raise £1500 for the restoration and renovation of Munro's gravestone.

Both the OSC and the Trust kick-started the fundraising by generously donating £300 each and the cause has recently passed the £1000 mark.

If you would like to donate to the project, you can do so by clicking here.

More information on James' career can be found here.
