Swindon Town Football Club would like to issue the following statement in regards to recent issues surrounding turnstiles.
Thank you all for your continued support for our Football Club, which is really appreciated as we look to take our Club onwards and upwards.
I would like to apologise for the queues that you have been experiencing on Match Days. Whilst it may not seem like it, we are working tirelessly behind the scenes to fix the turnstile entry issues you are experiencing. We have made investments and fixed some issues in our ticket access control systems.
Whilst this work has not produced the results as quickly as we had hoped for, it has highlighted to us issues with the Season Ticket Cards that we have issued to a larger number of our supporters. We will be issuing an email to supporters who have Season Ticket Cards with a ‘squashed’ barcode to please inform the Club so that we can produce new ones which will then be issued in exchange for your existing ‘faulty’ card.
There are other issues with Season Ticket Cards and Digital tickets which we expect software changes to rectify. It is important for any digital tickets to be loaded into your digital mobile wallet and for your phone to be running on its latest Software update, this should ensure the digital ticket scans accurately.
We will deal with these issues as quickly as we can but it will take us a number of weeks to do so. In the meantime please do bear with us and again we would encourage you to attend earlier (60-45 minutes before kick off) so that we can get you safely into the ground before the game kicks off. We will be increasing the number of turnstile operatives working and looking at other ways to reduce the queues in the meantime.
Thank you for your support and your patience as we deal with these issues.
