EFL confirms schedule for 2022/23

Get out your diaries, Town fans, because the EFL have confirmed the full schedule for the 2022-23 season.

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar taking place across November and December, which will impact the EFL schedule, the 2022-23 season will start earlier with the opening weekend slated for Saturday 30th July 2022.

When the Championship takes a break after Saturday 12th November before resuming on 10th December, the EFL Sky Bet League One and League Two will continue as normal.

The 2022-23 Carabao Cup will commence the week beginning August 8th, with the Papa John's Trophy getting underway the week commencing August 29th.

The Final of the Carabao Cup will be held at Wembley Stadium on February 26th, while the 2022-23 Papa John's Trophy Final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 19th March.

Finally, the 2022-23 EFL season will conclude across the weekend of Saturday 6th May 2023, with the Sky Bet EFL Play-Off Finals scheduled for 27-29 May 2023.
