Defender to miss out at Crewe

Swindon Town Head Coach Ben Garner has provided an update on Romoney Crichlow ahead of Saturday's trip to Crewe Alexandra.

The Reds take on The Railwaymen in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup tomorrow afternoon - 3pm Kick-Off - and they will be without the on-loan Huddersfield defender.

Crichlow injured his ankle in the win over Oldham last weekend and won't be fit for tomorrow, while Garner also provided an update on his team selection as a whole.

"His ankle is still swollen so he's been in a protective boot this week," Garner said at his pre-match press conference earlier today.

"We're just waiting for that swelling to go down and then it will be a case of rehabbing it.

"He's certainly unavailable for tomorrow but we'll get him back as quickly as possible once he's out of that boot.

"We've had a couple of little knocks in training but nothing too major.

"I would expect everyone to be available for tomorrow.

"We've got final assessments on one or two today but I am pretty positive that they will be okay and they will come through fine."

Garner also confirmed that the club's on-loan players will be able to feature tomorrow having been given permission by their parent teams.

"The ones we have involved tomorrow we have permission for all of them and they are all clear to play in the FA Cup," Garner concluded.
