As part of Swindon Town Football Club continuing to connect with our local community we have an ‘Armed Forces’ respect game this Saturday for our fixture against Harrogate Town.
We have worked with local stakeholders in our Armed Forces to issue free and discounted tickets to those serving in our locally based Armed Forces for our game against Harrogate on Saturday.
We think as a Club it is important that we respect and recognise the important work of and dedicated service of our Armed Forces personnel, especially given the significant military presence in and around our locality (c25% of the Army is based in Wiltshire).
A number of military personnel will be welcomed to the game on Saturday and the Armed Forces community engagement trailer will also be onsite.
We will also be signing up to the Armed Forces covenant which shows the commitment we at STFC have in working in partnership with our Armed Forces on an ongoing basis.
