Swindon Town Football Club would like to make fans aware of the following important information ahead of our EFL Sky Bet League Two fixture away at Newport County this Saturday.
Ben Garner's team will be looking to continue their sparkling away form at Rodney Parade this weekend, but there will be strict COVID-19 Protocols in place for those making the trip to Wales.
Following new legislation from the Welsh Government, people aged 18 and over attending terraced stadiums with more than 4,000 people, such as Rodney Parade, must present one of the following in order to attend:
- A Digital COVID-19 Passport
- A Paper COVID-19 Passport
- Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken within 48 hours of Saturday's fixture
PLEASE NOTE - PROOF OF A NEGATIVE LATERAL FLOW TEST MUST BE THROUGH THE GOV.UK WEBSITE, NOT A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE ACTUAL TEST.
To clarify, if you take a test you must report the result following government guidelines here, and then show that as proof upon arrival at Newport.
How do I evidence a negative lateral flow test?
How will the COVID pass work?
Supporters are encouraged to get prepared and obtain a form of COVID Pass at the earliest opportunity.
On arrival to turnstiles, supporters will be spot checked to evidence one of the approved COVID passes. Supporters that are unable to provide a COVID pass will not be able to access the Stadium.
How do I obtain a Digital NHS COVID pass?
How do I obtain a Paper NHS COVID pass?
Supporters who are aged 18 and over and are fully vaccinated but do not have the ability to obtain a digital passport – as well as those who do not have photographic ID - can request a paper COVID pass. Please note that supporters should wait FIVE days after their final dose before requesting the paper copy.
This service is available seven days a week, between 9am and 5pm. To request a paper NHS COVID pass, call 0300 303 5667. GPs cannot provide this service.
