Williams called-up by Wales for WQ Qualifiers

Town midfielder set to hit international stage again

1 November 2021

Swindon Town midfielder Jonny Williams has once again been called up by Wales for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

Williams has been included in Robert Page's 28-man squad for Cymru's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Belarus and Belgium.

Gareth Bale is back in the squad and he, along with Williams, will be looking to help Wales secure Second Place in Group E and a place at the FIFA World Cup Play-Offs in March.

Wales are currently third behind the Czech Republic, but with a game in hand, and they will look to win both games which will be played at Cardiff City Stadium.

Williams and his Welsh teammates will take on Belarus on Saturday 13th November (7:45pm KO), before entertaining a star-studded Belgium team on Tuesday 16th November (7:45pm KO).

Here is the Wales Squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward, Adam Davies.

Defenders: Chris Gunter, Ben Davies, Connor Roberts, Chris Mepham, Joe Rodon, Neco Williams, James Lawrence, Rhys Norrington-Davies, Ben Cabango.

Midfielders: Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, Ethan Ampadu, Jonny Williams, Harry Wilson, Joe Morrell, Dylan Levitt, Will Vaulks, Sorba Thomas, Rubin Colwill, Brennan Johnson. 

Forwards: Tyler Roberts, Gareth Bale, Mark Harris, Daniel James, Kieffer Moore.
