It was a productive Tuesday night for Ricky Aguiar who found the back of the net for Chippenham Town in a narrow loss.
Swindon Town Loan Watch returns for the 2021-22 season, and today we focus on our only player currently out on loan in Ricky Aguiar, who had a good night at the office on Tuesday.
Sent out on loan to Chippenham in order to further hone his skills, the forward player started against Hemel Hempstead Town in the Vanarama National League last night.
Hemel had a few dangerous chances in the opening exchanges but it was Chippenham who landed the first blow of the night with over 30 minutes played, and it was all down to Aguiar.
After an initial shot was saved by the Hempstead Town Goalkeeper, Aguiar was in the right place at the right time to slot home the rebound with his left foot.
However, the visitors drew level right on the stroke of half-time as Jack Westbrook found the back of the net with a header, before Freddie Hinds sent a curling effort past former Town Goalie Will Henry for what proved to be the winner.
It was a frustrating night for Chippenham but a positive one for Aguiar who played well and also lasted the whole 90 minutes.
