Harry McKirdy revealed that he had a lot of fun during Swindon Town's 3-1 Derby Day success over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
McKirdy returned from injury and came off the bench during the second-half, completely changing the complexion of the game.
The lively attacker gave the Reds the attacking spark they needed to finally force the breakthrough, with McKirdy supplying the cross that led to Jack Payne making it a tied game.
McKirdy then won the penalty that saw Ben Gladwin make it a 2-1 game, before the forward pounced on a mistake to wrap up what was a huge win and the local bragging rights.
And, in the wake of the game, McKirdy spoke to iFollow Town to reflect on what was a fun afternoon as well as his goal and the importance of getting in the box.
"It was just fun," McKirdy told iFollow Town.
"We enjoyed ourselves and you could see that - we just had fun.
"We get in so many good positions it is crazy that we have only scored more than one goal twice - we need to be in the box more, we need to score goals and we will be a threat if we do that.
"If we get ourselves in the box then we will score goals. We've got good players and good finishers.
"The keeper has just given me the ball, so cheers for that! But that's what happens, if you get yourself in the box, you will score goals.
"It was nice to score. When you are injured you are injured, but once I was back fit and back in training I wanted to be involved and I was buzzing.
"I wasn't sure if I would come on or not but I was buzzing to get that faith from the Gaffer, he gave me an opportunity to do stuff and I took it."
