Swindon Town midfielder Louis Reed has given his views ahead of today's local derby clash against Bristol Rovers.
The Reds are in action at The Memorial Stadium later today - 3pm Kick-Off - for a mouthwatering showdown against The Gas, and Reed spoke to iFollow Town to preview the game.
"Everyone is excited for it," Reed said.
"It is my first taste of a derby at Swindon so I'm really looking forward to it.
"This week in training the intensity in training has certainly gone up a notch and everyone is ready for the game now.
"Throughout the week everyone says it is just another game and you've got to take it in our stride as we do most weeks, but it gets to Saturday and it kicks in as you are walking out and you realise just how big this game is.
"The fans have been brilliant this season. They've been a credit to themselves and they do drive us on, especially in derby games.
"I've played against Bristol Rovers and they are always a strong side, they battle really well and we have to match them in that sense.
"But we've got to let our football do the talking.
"You always have to start fast in derby games and the opposition will be ready for it so they will come out of the traps and want to get a good start.
"We have to compete in that first 10, 15 minutes and then settle in and start playing the football we know we can play."
