Swindon Town Head Coach Ben Garner has called on Reds fans to create a special atmosphere at The County Ground tonight.
With Forest Green Rovers in town for a must-win clash (7:45pm Kick-Off), Garner echoed the thoughts of forward Harry McKirdy by asking Town fans to help transform SN1 into a wall of noise this evening.
"I was sent a link of what Harry (McKirdy) said, and I have to say I think he spoke brilliantly. He is a passionate guy, he speaks from the heart," Garner said.
"I also thought he spoke with great intelligence. I think he was absolutely spot on. We have to meet halfway. It’s an easy thing to say that the players have to provide the entertainment, and the spark, and that would get the supporters going.
"But, likewise, the supporters can get the players going and if that atmosphere is set from the first minute, knowing this group as I do, they will thrive off of that.
"They want that noise, they want that energy, they want that passion. We just want positivity - that has to come from us, from how we play and how we perform - and hopefully, that can come from the stands as well.
"Let’s try and make it a special night tomorrow, lets's try and make it a cup final or a Playoff atmosphere now. Let’s get it going now and create that special atmosphere and see if we can get the three points that we really need and we really want."
