TEAM NEWS: Jojo Wollacott progressing well

Latest injury news ahead of Saturday

29 April 2022

Swindon Town Head Coach Ben Garner has provided the latest injury update for his team ahead of Saturday afternoon.

With just two games of the 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet League Two remaining, the Reds face a huge clash against Barrow at SN1 tomorrow (3pm Kick-Off) with the Playoffs still in sight.

And, speaking at his pre-game press conference, Garner gave an update on Goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott and the rest of his squad

"Everyone has come through Tuesday pretty well. Obviously, Ellis (Iandolo) will have a one-game suspension and Jojo (Wollacott) is progressing with his shoulder day by day," Garner said.

"Other than that, we’re fine.

"Jojo has had the shoulder injury which was quite a heavy impact in the Leyton Orient game and he wasn’t available for Hartlepool.

"He has progressed since then and was good enough to make himself available for the bench and be available for that.

"He is progressing each day, so we’re at the stage of the season we wouldn’t take a risk with any player like that.

"On the back of that, Lewis Ward has come in and done fantastically well, so we have had great competition there all season in the goalkeeping department and we’ve been very fortunate to have that."
