Parsons heads to Banbury on loan

Town youngster set for temporary spell at The Puritans…

26 August 2022

Swindon Town forward Harry Parsons has joined Banbury United on loan.

The 19-year-old, who has made 17 appearances in the Town first-team since signing as a pro at SN1 back in 2019, heads to the National League North outfit on a short term deal and will return in January 2023.

The move to The Puritans will be Parsons’ second loan spell of his career, having spent two months of last season at National League South side Chippenham Town, where he made a big impact in his time there, scoring five times in seven games.

He’s also featured once under current Town boss, Scott Lindsey, this season, starting in our Carabao Cup First Round defeat to fellow League Two side Walsall earlier this month.

Parsons has been with Swindon since 2011, joining our Academy after trialing with Reading, signing a scholarship in 2019 and making his debut in November of that year in an EFL Trophy clash with Bristol Rovers. He signed a new deal at The County Ground in May 2021.

Everyone at the football club would like to wish Harry all the very best over the coming months.
