Swindon Town could welcome Captain Dion Conroy back into the fold for tomorrow night's clash against Walsall at The County Ground.
The Reds are back in EFL Sky Bet League Two action on Tuesday night - 7:45pm Kick-Off - and Conroy may be primed for a return.
"Dion trained fully on Sunday so we'll see how he is today, but I don't see that being a problem and he should be fine," Town Head Coach Ben Garner said at his pre-match press conference earlier today.
"Jack Payne built up a bit more yesterday which was great to see and it is just day-by-day with him now in terms of getting him over these last few hurdles so he's ready to play again.
"It is funny how football goes. The injuries and the suspensions we had before Christmas left us short at the back and we were light on defenders, we strengthened there and now we've picked up injuries in midfield, so that's the way it goes sometimes.
'We want that strength in depth, we want that competition and every single player at this club has got to fight and prove themselves and those who have the shirt will have the opportunity to keep it."
