TEAM NEWS: Positive news on the injury front for Town

Squad update prior to Saturday

4 February 2022

Swindon Town have a number of positives on the injury front ahead of tomorrow's EFL Sky Bet League Two clash against Exeter City.

The Reds take on the Grecians in a huge clash at The County Ground tomorrow - 3pm Kick-Off - and Head Coach Ben Garner has been boosted by some good news when it comes to squad availability.

"It was good news on the scan for Josh Davison," Garner said at his pre-match press conference earlier today.

"We were fearing a lot worst to be honest, but the scan results have been good and he's in with a chance for tomorrow.

"He's being assessed but we're hopeful that he'll be involved.

"AK (Akin Odimayo) is great. He took a bad whack on the knee on Saturday and had fluid on the knee, which has settled down so he's fine and available for tomorrow.

"Mathieu Baudry is available and he's had a good week this week on top of last week, so that's good news.

"Jack Payne trained with the group for the first time yesterday and it was great to have him back involved.

"Saturday is probably too soon if I'm being honest, but it is great to have him back involved and we can now build him on from there."

However, the Reds will be without Louis Reed for tomorrow with the midfielder suspended for two games after being sent-off in the wake of the 1-1 draw with Crawley Town on Tuesday night.
