Swindon Town were defeated away at Mansfield, in a game that The Reds will feel they could have taken something from, had they started the first half as they finished the second.
George Maris gave the home side the lead, but The Stags' early goal was cancelled out by a Harry McKirdy strike - the Town no. 11's sixth goal in three consecutive games.
The scores did not stay level for long, however, as Stephen McLaughlin converted from the penalty spot to put Mansfield back into the lead. This lead was then further increased by Jordan Bowery, who scored his side's third goal of the evening, meaning it was 3-1 at half time.
Despite a valiant second half effort from the boys in Red, Ellis Iandolo's impressive late goal was not enough to complete Town's comeback efforts. The Town team, therefore, had to head back to SN1 empty-handed but will be looking to pick up their first away win of 2022 later this week when they face Port Vale.
