Swindon Town produced an attacking feast for the ages with a 5-2 win over Northampton Town at The County Ground on New Year's Day.
Harry McKirdy gave the Reds a first-half lead in what was the first game of 2022 at SN1, although Sam Hoskins restored parity for the Cobblers heading in at the break.
Jon Guthrie then handed the visitors an early lead in the second-half, but Town came fighting back and they launched an attacking onslaught on the Northampton goal.
McKirdy completed his hat-trick and added one more goal to take his total to a remarkable four for the day, while Tyreece Simpson rounded off a fine performance with a goal as Town made a real statement to kick-off the New Year.
