Swindon Town signed forward Josh Davison on loan from Charlton Athletic on Monday for the remainder of the 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet League Two season.
The Reds bolstered their front-line by bringing in the powerful frontman, and we decided to provide the skinny on our third signing of the January Transfer Window!
- Joshua Michael Blainey Davison was born on 16th September 1999 - he's 22-years-old.
- Davison was born in Enfield, but actually began his career with Peterborough United.
- During his time with the Posh, Josh worked with current Academy Head of Coaching, Dave Farrell.
- Davison spent loan spells with St Neots Town and Wisbech Town, before signing for Enfield Town where he went on to score an impressive haul of 16 goals in just 21 games.
- That deadly form in-front of goal grabbed the attention of Charlton Athletic, who snapped up the forward on a free transfer and he went on to make his debut shortly after against West Bromwich Albion, scoring a header in the same game.
- Davison also went on to score a late equaliser against Portsmouth, while he has five goals in 23 games for the Addicks this season.
- The 22-year-old has experience of League Two football having had a loan spell with Forest Green Rovers, where he scored three goals in 20 outings.
- Davison boasts great height, can hold the ball up and, more importantly, has the ability to put the ball in the back of the net, which should make him a firm fans' favourite at SN1.
- Josh Davison will wear the No. 9 shirt during his time at The County Ground.
