Swindon Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Harry McKirdy has put pen to paper on a new deal at The County Ground.
After what has been an impressive first-half of the 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet League Two season, McKirdy has committed his future to the club.
Having initially joined the club on trial during preseason, the energetic forward signed an initial one-year contract and made an immediate impact after scoring on his debut away at Scunthorpe United in the opening game of the season.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Ben Garner and the rest of the coaching staff, McKirdy has gone from strength-to-strength and he's established himself as a key player for the Reds.
Boasting an incredible work-rate, high-energy levels and the ability to be a huge threat inside the box, as well as being able to make things happen anywhere in the final-third, the 24-year-old has emerged as one of the most dangerous attackers in the entire division.
Following his goal against Mansfield Town on Tuesday, McKirdy now has 12 goals on the year in 25 outings in all competitions, and he has become a firm fans' favourite at SN1.
After putting pen to paper on his new deal, McKirdy told swindontownfc.co.uk just how thrilled he was to have committed his future to Town.
"When I spoke to my family about it, I think it was a bit of a relief for them knowing that I would be going into the summer without having to look for a club, which hasn't been the case for the last few seasons," McKirdy said.
"I'm really enjoying my time here, on and off the pitch, and that's the main thing for me, I'm happy and I'm not sure what else really matters to be honest.
"It has been brilliant with the fans from the get-go, both for me and my family. They've been great for me, I appreciate it and it doesn't go unnoticed."
