Swindon Town are delighted to announce a new partnership with Padel4all.
Padel tennis is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and Padel4all are one of the UK’s leading operators. Their new three court facility at Basset Down is located at the golf complex just two minutes from J16 of the M4.
Swindon Town's Head of Commercial, Danny Lee, commented: "We as a Football Club, along with the STFC Community Foundation, are passionate about assisting the community with health and well-being and we feel that this facility is exciting for the town.
"It is not only a fun activity but also fantastic for your health and we are delighted to partner with Dax and his team on this.
"It is also important that we work together on driving these new facilities for the town of Swindon."
To launch the partnership, our Head Coach Ben Garner, Director of Football Ben Chorley, Assistant Coach Scott Lindsey, and Danny Lee popped down for a taster session and played a few sets.

Ben Chorley commented: "I did get competitive but that’s how sport should be. It was great to try something new and meet the whole team at Padel4all who were very warm and welcoming.
"It is great for fitness and communication and to develop skills such as quicker reactions and full body cardio, which can be difficult to replicate in a gym environment.
"Plus, I’m really happy that myself and Danny were able to get the convincing win."
On the partnership, Padel4all’s Operations Director, Dax Mellor, commented: "Living in Swindon, it’s fantastic to be able to partner with STFC. As a company our aim is to create centres which give people an opportunity to have fun and be active. Bringing communities together through sport is a key reason why we wanted to team up with the Club and the Foundation.
"We also love the connection that football has with padel. Originating from South America, padel shares all the passion and excitement of football. Rapidly growing across Europe, padel is now the 2nd most played sport in Spain after football.
"In Sweden, Zlatan Ibrahimović has just built a huge padel centre on the outskirts of Stockholm, where the whole nation seems to have gone padel crazy. Jurgen Klopp plays daily at the Liverpool training facility as does Pep Guardiola on the courts he had built in Manchester. Beckham and Zidane have both recently shared posts declaring their newfound love for the sport and Messi has had his own private court built at his home. I also saw that Sergio Aguero’s first social media post after announcing his retirement was a picture of him heading to the padel courts.
"It was great to see Ben and his team enjoying themselves when they visited, and it wasn’t a surprise to see how quickly they picked it up and how much fun they were having. We look forward to welcoming them back to the centre again soon and we wish the Club every success for the second-half of the season and their push for promotion – we will be supporting them all the way."
