Young duo extend their stay at The County Ground…

2 July 2022

Promising Swindon Town youngsters Mo Dabre and Harry Parsons have signed one year contract extensions at the club.

The two 19-year-old’s have impressed during pre-season and are seen as exciting prospects for Town heading into the new 2022/23 campaign.

Dabre, who began his youth career in Italy before moving to Swindon last year, is yet to make a first league appearance in red, but did feature in all four of Town’s EFL Trophy games last term, scoring against Arsenal Under-21s in the group stage.

He also spent a fruitful spell on loan at Chippenham Town earlier this year, making eleven appearance and scoring once.

Parsons joined Town’s academy back in 2011 after a successful trial, signing a scholarship deal in 2019. The same year, he went on to make his debut for the club in a 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy and since gone on to make six first-team appearances.

Like Dabre, Parsons headed to Chippenham on loan back in November last year, signing an initial one-month deal that was then extended as he went on to score five times in seven games.

Town Technical Director, Sandro Di Michele, said: “Mo and Harry are two lads we really like and they’ve both been at the club for a few years now.

“We are really keen for them to continue their development journey with us and we’ll be working hard to prepare them for first team football this season.

“Both had successful loan spells at Chippenham which has really helped them grow as young players and gain experience in that competitive environment, and both will play a big part in what we are trying to achieve here at this football club moving forward.”
