Town join forces with Proper Cornish

Serving up something a little different on a match day...

25 July 2022

Swindon Town are delighted to have partnered up with Proper Cornish, which will see eleven new kiosks serving up a variety of authentic pasties, sausage rolls and other snacks for supporters during match days at The County Ground.

This is part of a new three-year deal between us and the popular west country food supplier, which is hoped will add a little more variety to our food options for fans when coming to watch a game at SN1.

Founded in 1988, Proper Cornish are the UKs leading handmade Cornish pasty manufacturer and experts in filled savory pastry products, ensuring all of their ingredients are sourced from the Cornwall area.

They were also crowned Bakery Manufacturer of the Year back in 2020 at the Bakery Industry Awards.

We officially unveiled our partnership recently with Town aces Ricky Aguiar and Oscar Massey joining us for the official ribbon cutting.

Danny Latham is Senior Commercial Manager at Proper Cornish. He said: “We’re proud to have agreed this deal with Swindon Town and I’m really excited to see where we can take this venture moving forward.

“This football club has a rich history, is incredibly ambitious and progressive. They share the same values and traditions as we do and I’ve no doubt this will be a long and prosperous partnership.”

Rob Angus, Chief Executive Officer at Swindon Town, said: “We are really pleased to be working with Proper Cornish to bring some authentic, great tasting food to our kiosks for the new football season.

“Bringing our kiosk offerings inhouse enables us to control and improve the food we offer fans which not only provides variety but will raise additional revenue that can be reinvested back into the football club."

We’d also like to say thank you to Caterquip and Watercare who helped support us in this venture, and we can’t wait for the 2022/23 season to get into full swing and welcome fans back to The County Ground for competitive league football once again.

Please note our new kiosks will be cashless, which means it will be card payments only.
