STFC Advisory Board July minutes now available

Get the lowdown on what was discussed in our latest meeting…

14 July 2022

Swindon Town Football Club can now make public the minutes from the Advisory Board meeting for July, which was hosted at The County Ground earlier this month.

Attended by Swindon Town Owner Clem Morfuni, Alex Pollock from the STFC Supporters Trust, Jon Holloway from the STFC Community Foundation, Jay Collett from The Sir Tom Broadbent Lounge, Partner/Sponsor representative, Steve Trowbridge, Chief Executive Rob Angus and Anthony Reeves, who was present on behalf of the Official Swindon Town Supporters Club, a number of key points were discussed, including:

  • A further update on the club’s finances was provided, with the overall debt now reduced from £4.5million to £1.5million, with all repayments still on track.
  • Our season ticket sales currently stand at 4,800 with the aim to reach 6,000. Work is underway to introduce card payments too which will make purchases easier.
  • Our new home kit has sold well despite experiencing issues in our supply chain delaying delivery of all kit ordered. More home kit is on the way and we expect all pre-orders to be dealt with during August.
  • There have been a number of arrests by Staffordshire Police following the Port Vale game and EFL investigations are ongoing. The football club will continue to support these enquiries.
  • Following consultation and supporter feedback we’ve reduced the prices of matchday tickets in the Town End and Stratton Bank to £21, with the over 65s and students paying £18, under 18s just £8 and under 11s £3.

These were just some of the many topics discussed in the meeting, and fans can read the minutes in full by clicking here.

The sole purpose of the STFC Advisory Board is to meet monthly to review and assess the performance and strategic direction of the football club, and to ensure there is open, transparent and regular engagement on key matters impacting all aspects.

It also builds on the Memorandum of Understanding that was recently signed between Swindon Town and TrustSTFC, and it continues the commitment from the club to maintain open and honest engagement with its fanbase.

The STFC Advisory Board meets every month and there is an opportunity for fans to raise any questions they have via TrustSTFC and the Supporters Club.

The Advisory Board meetings present an ideal opportunity for supporters to share feedback, ideas and suggestions to the club’s management team, so we encourage everyone to get in touch with either of the supporter groups.
