We’ve reviewed our loyalty points scheme

7 July 2022

With the new season rapidly approaching, season tickets on sale and information around our opening league fixtures to follow shortly, we’ve carried out a detailed review of our loyalty points initiative to ensure we are rewarding supporters in the right way.

The move is just one of many as our Ticketing department undergoes a host of positive changes in our quest to work more efficiently and provide the very best service we can moving forward.

Our loyalty scheme is a really important area of focus for us, as it gives us the opportunity to reward and recognise those of you that give up your valuable time and money in travelling far and wide to cheer on our team.

We’re well aware the system we had in place last season didn’t work, so we’ve taken active steps to look into why this was the case, and ensure we have the necessary processes in place so it benefits the right people in a fair way.

So, from next season, every supporter with a season ticket will be awarded 260 points straight off. Fans without one will start with zero and build up their tally throughout the season.

For tickets purchased or additional requests by season ticket holders, 15 points will be awarded for a home game and 10 points for an away fixture. These points will be awarded per order, not per ticket.

These points will give you priority over others when it comes to purchasing tickets for cup games and high profile matches, as well league ties with limited availability.

We understand many supporters don’t have season tickets but still attend most away fixtures, but we do have to prioritise season ticket holders, however we will look to open loyalty point windows at different times throughout the season so we can repay fans that attend the majority of fixtures in order to give everyone a fair chance.

With this in mind and with limited tickets available for our season opener against Harrogate Town on Saturday 30 July, we’ll be giving priority to season ticket holders who attend our friendly match at home to Cardiff City on Saturday 23 July.

The points we award will increase for games throughout the season, but we’ll keep you posted on the value of these before each game.

We understand there are pro’s and con’s to this initiative, but with better planning and guidance in place our end, we’ll ensure the scheme works and we are consistent in our approach.

This is a new era for our ticketing team and we’ll continue to make improvements moving forward.

We want you to help shape this positive change, so we’ll be sending out a survey on Monday (11 July) for you to have your say on the steps we are taking and share feedback on what’s working well and what isn’t.

We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has renewed or purchased a season ticket so far, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the County Ground and see you at our away games once the 2022/23 campaign gets underway.
