Joe Tomlinson has taken like a duck to water at SN1, racking up four G/A in his first six games as a Robin and winning the latest EFL Young Player of the Month
Joining on deadline-day from Peterborough United in the recent January transfer window, Town's new no. 23 seamlessly slots into Ben Garner's system. Along with providing a threat to goal with his long-range shooting and pinpoint passing, Tomlinson also offers solid defensive support from his position at left-back. The young defender made eleven clearances and nine tackles to help Town keep three clean sheets during the month.
The 21-year-old offers great versatility to The Reds. Being truly two-footed, he is able to cover and excel in a multitude of positions across the backline and indeed in midfield. Town fans were introduced to the loanee's killer instinct for a goal on his debut, in which he netted against Exeter City at The County Ground on the 5th of February.
Currently out injured, Joe will be hoping to make a return and help his teammates to achieve a strong end to the season.
Congratulations, Joe!
