Town Owner issues rallying cry

14 May 2022

Swindon Town Owner Clem Morfuni has issued the following rallying cry ahead of our 2021-22 EFL Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Semi-Final First-Leg clash against Port Vale at The County Ground on Sunday (12pm KO).

"I am so excited for tomorrow. I genuinely feel like we have nothing to lose and everything to gain because we were never supposed to be in this position.

"We were favourites for relegation at the start of the season, we were under embargo and we had two weeks to put a team together, so our aim was clear that we needed to stay in the Football League, but what Ben and the boys have done has been incredible.

"But, our supporters have also been equally as incredible.

"The connection between the players and the fans during the run-in and the way our supporters have got behind the team from start to finish is one of the main reasons we have this amazing opportunity, but now I'm asking all of our fans to take it to another level tomorrow.

"We aren't meant to be here but now we are why not give it absolutely everything we've got to get to Wembley - what a day out that would be for all of us.

"It is an early Kick-Off tomorrow but we need to make as much noise on Sunday and have The County Ground bouncing from start to finish.

"Please get behind the team like you have done, drive them on and be the 12th man again.

"We've got a team to be proud of so let's give them absolutely everything tomorrow to help them go and complete what would be one of the greatest achievements in this Club's great history given the circumstances.

"COYR!!!!

Clem Morfuni.
