Swindon Town midfielder Jack Payne has been nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors Player of the Month Award for April.
Payne enjoyed a superb April as he played a key role in the Reds winning four out of seven to finish strong down the stretch and ultimately clinch a Playoff spot.
More importantly, though, the midfielder really stepped up in the final three games of the month with Town needing to win every single one of their remaining games in order to keep their hopes of extending their season alive.
He scored what proved to be the winner in a huge, huge win over eventual champions, Forest Green Rovers, and his dynamic displays in the offensive third of the pitch proved to be a real game-changer.
In total, Payne contributed four assists and scored one goal in the month of April as he continued to show why he is one of the best players in League Two.
Payne faces competition for the fan-voted Award from Jamie Proctor (Port Vale), Elliot Anderson (Bristol Rovers), Kane Hemmings (Tranmere Rovers), Sam Hoskins (Northampton Town) and Stephen McLaughlin (Mansfield Town)
