TEAM NEWS: No fresh injury concerns for Town

Latest injury update ahead of Sunday

14 May 2022

Swindon Town have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their EFL Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Semi-Final First-Leg clash against Port Vale on Sunday.

Ben Garner's team will welcome The Valiants to The County Ground tomorrow - 12pm Kick-Off - with the Sky Sports cameras in town.

And, ahead of what is a massive game as the Reds look to draw first blood, Garner has no fresh injury concerns to worry about.

"We are where we were - no changes on that front. Everyone that was fit is still so," Garner said at his pre-match press conference earlier today.

"Rob Hunt is progressing really well with his injury and Jordan Lyden as well, which is pleasing.

"Brandon Cooper and Joe Tomlinson are doing their rehab with their respective clubs, we're in contact with both of them and that's going well.

"We're all good on that front."

And Garner also spoke about the competition in goal between Lewis Ward and Jojo Wollacott, with the latter now fully fit.

"Jojo has progressed well and he's back in full training now and not having any issues with it," Garner added.

"Last week he still wasn't comfortable with certain movements but he certainly seems to be getting there now.

"That was the point of having a squad that could compete and do well and credit to all the players for that. The goalkeeping department is one where we've had really strong competition and I've said all season that both goalkeepers can be a number 1 in their own right.

"That's the sort of competition and type of challenge that we want throughout the group."
