Cowmeadow heads to Kidlington on loan

Young Town forward makes temporary switch to Southern League Division One Central side…

10 November 2022

Swindon Town prospect George Cowmeadow has completed a loan move to Southern League Division One Central outfit Kidlington until the end of January 2023.

The 19-year-old has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, making just two appearances for Scott Lindsey’s side so far.

He started the Carabao Cup defeat to Walsall back in August and came on as a substitute for thirty minutes later that month in the loss to Crystal Palace Under-21s in our opening EFL Trophy group game.

The Welshman joined Swindon Town back in 2014 after impressing in the youth ranks of the Procision Football Academy, earning himself a pro deal at the County Ground after a successful pre-season with the club at the beginning of last term.

He joined National League South outfit Slough Town on loan back in September, making just one appearance for the Berkshire-based side.

He joins a Kidlington team currently occupying fifth spot in the Southern League Division One Central table, with seven wins from their thirteen games so far.

They face a home tie with Highworth Town this Saturday, where he could come up against fellow Town loanees Anton Dworzak and Harvey Fox.

We’d like to wish George all the very best over the coming months, and look forward to monitoring his progress.
