Swindon Town will face Chippenham Town in the quarter-finals of the 1st Office Wiltshire County FA Premier Shield.

The competition, now in it’s 136th year, sees the highest placed clubs across the area compete for the historic honour.

Swindon have won the competition on 28 occasions, with Chippenham claiming the title eight times.

Scott Lindsey’s charges last won the title during the 2009/10 campaign, with The Bluebirds claiming it the following season.

The current holders are Swindon Supermarine, who beat Corsham in last seasons showdown at the County Ground, marking the competitions return after a ten year absence.

The quarter-final draw took place earlier this week at SN1, with our Chief Executive, Rob Angus, picking the balls out the hat.

Dates for all the ties are yet to be confirmed but are likely to take place in the new year, with the full draw as follows:

Westbury United vs Swindon Supermarine

Chippenham Town vs Swindon Town

Melksham Town vs Laverstock & Ford

Highworth Town vs Salisbury City or Corsham Town

Wiltshire FA Chief Executive, Oliver Selfe said: “We are looking forward to another full season of Wiltshire County FA cups.

“Our Premier Shield is a historic tournament which showcases the highest placed clubs in Wiltshire, and we’re looking forward to seeing the teams progress to decide who will meet in the final.”
