Fans Forum questions

We’ve answered those we didn’t get the chance to at last month’s event…

13 October 2022

Many of you will be aware of the Fans Forum we held at The County Ground last month, where we brought supporters together in the Legends Lounge and online thanks to the Sir Tom Broadbent Lounge podcast.

We had a fantastic turn-out and some great questions put to Clem Morfuni, Scott Lindsey, Sandro Di Michele and Rob Angus on the panel, and for that we thank you.

In fact, we had so many submitted to us we ran out of time, so as promised, we’ve included those we didn’t get around to answering below for your information.

Will future ground development take into account generating a better matchday atmosphere? If so, how?

This is something we will be looking to incorporate with the development and also an area we will look to get supporter feedback on.  It’s just a little too early to go into specifics just yet.

To Rob Angus - is your current role easier or harder than the one you did at Nationwide previously?

It’s very different in all honesty. It’s a lot more varied and challenging, but also more enjoyable and I feel privileged to be given the chance to help Clem rebuild our club alongside our supporters.

What is happening about stewarding in the Town End to tackle vaping, broken seats and damaged toilets?

We will be looking into more focused stewarding and security being deployed on a matchday to try and put an end to this.

We’ll also be looking at monitoring CCTV more closely, with anyone caught damaging club property prosecuted and banned.

Why have the catering options changed and why are they so limited?

Moving our kiosk offering in-house drives five times more revenue for the club every single game, all of which is reinvested.

We have recently added more choices to our menus, including Balti pies, hot dogs and burgers, and we’re currently looking into making more improvements moving forward.

Can you explain the ownership/directors and management structure at the football club?

Clem owns one hundred per cent of the football club and is the sole Director.

Rob Angus is the CEO, Greg Norman our Financial Director and Sandro Di Micheleour Technical Director.

In previous regimes there has been an experienced football head behind the scenes in support of the First-Team Manager/Coach. Has any more thought been given to this in support of Scott and future managers?

Scott and Sandro work closely together to ensure we are progressing well on the football side of things and we have a strong network of support in the footballing world to assist us.

Is there any chance you could twin with another club (like Galway United) where you play over there and host them here?

We are always happy to consider these options and will look at ways we can improve our football club, especially during the off-season and building these kinds of relationships is important to us.

To enhance the atmosphere, why don't we have flags when the players come out?

This is something that the Supporters Club are working on with The Community Foundation.

These were introduced at the Northampton Town game recently, and the plan is to continue delivering this moving forward.
