Will you be attending our double-header this weekend?

Here’s all the information you need for this coming Saturday…

19 October 2022

We’re edging ever closer to this weekend’s double-header, where our First-Team’s League Two clash with Hartlepool United will be closely followed by Swindon Town Women’s FA Cup tie with Paulton Rovers.

This Saturday marks a huge historic milestone for Swindon Town WFC and we’re looking forward to welcoming you all to The County Ground for the action.

Formerly Swindon Town Ladies, the club was founded back in 1993, joining the fourth tier of the Southern Regional League.

During their 29-years in existence, the club has competed across the South West regional pyramid as well as the Southern Premier Division since 2016.

From the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign, they played in Division One South West – the fourth tier of the Women’s National League, and they know victory on Saturday will see them book their place in the First Round Proper.

Remember, admission to the women’s game is free, and those attending the Hartlepool game beforehand will be able to stay until kick off to enjoy the action.

We’ve compiled all the details you’ll need if you’re joining us on Saturday.

How can I watch the women’s game?

If you’ve purchased a matchday ticket for our men’s League Two game with Hartlepool, you’ll be able to stay on and watch the women’s match that follows, free of charge.

Kick off is at 5.45pm. If you are just attending to watch James Lally’s side in action, admission is free, but we encourage any donations you might be able to spare which will be invested straight into the women’s team.

We are also offering under-16 girls free entry into the men’s League Two game with Hartlepool where they are accompanied by a paying adult (two free tickets per paying adult).

Can I still attend if I am not watching the men’s game?

You certainly can.

Everyone is welcome to the women’s game and you don’t need to purchase a ticket - simply turn up at the turnstiles in the John Trollope Arkells Stand.

Where will I be seated for the women’s game?

All fans will be able to watch the women’s game from the John Trollope Arkells Stand.

Following the men’s match, supporters wanting to stay can make their way from the Don Rogers and Town End stands, and head in to the  Arkells through The Legends Lounge.

If you are already sitting in the Arkells you’re welcome to stay in your seat.

Can I purchase refreshments and will the bars be open in between the matches?

Several of our kiosks will remain open in the Arkells Stand from the beginning of the Hartlepool game right through until the second final whistle of the afternoon.

You are also welcome to head into The Legends Lounge between games to enjoy a drink, before taking your seat in time for 5.45pm.

Where can I park?

Parking will be limited on the day unfortunately, so you are advised to arrive early.

Limited parking is available in the main car park at The County Ground, at the Cricket Club next door, or you can leave your vehicles in the Town Centre a short walk away.

What should I expect on Saturday?

The men’s League Two game will kick off as usual at 3pm.

Once the ninety-minutes is up, there will be an hours break before the women get underway.

The sixty minutes between games will give our girls the chance to warm-up and for our groundsman to prepare the pitch for the second instalment at 5.45pm.

Where can I purchase tickets?

You can get your tickets for the Hartlepool game from the usual places, with our Club Shop selling them as well as our website here.
