EFL postpones weekend league fixtures

Newport clash called-off as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II…

9 September 2022

Following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, The EFL has taken the decision to postpone this weekend’s league fixtures as a mark of respect, which means our scheduled game with Newport County tomorrow, Saturday 10 September, will no longer be taking place.

All Football League fixtures from today, Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September, will now be re-arranged and a new date announced in due course.

Games will recommence on Tuesday 13 September, which means our scheduled League Two clash with Sutton United at The County Ground - kick off 7.45pm - will still go ahead as planned unless we are advised otherwise.

Those of you that have already purchased match tickets for Newport County will be able to use these for the re-arranged fixture at SN1 once a new date has been confirmed, and we will release further details once we have them.
